5/5 Loaded Cheeseburger 5/5 Kabob platter As of the time of writing this review, M&M Grill is in its food truck era as the store is undergoing some renovation to expand its seating space. Due to this, its menu is currently limited to its burgers and sides, and the indoor seating is available to its patrons. That said, this in no way took away from its high standards of delicious food and amazing service. My usual go-to is the kabob platter, but this change gave me the opportunity to try out the burger offers, and it hits just as hard! The bun is buttery and soft but does not fall apart in your hand and the meat is juicy and flavorful. Without any doubt, this has to be one of my favorite burgers in town. I also heard amazing things about their Mango Habanero Burger. But even if you are someone like me who lacks testicular fortitude in the spiciness department, you can ask for the sauce on the side to customize it as you wish!
Great tasting food & customer service. The restaurant is pretty casual. I usually get the shawarma platter, I really love the garlic sauce! My husband loves their chimichangas. The only downside is that's it's a bit pricey for the serving sizes they give. Still, highly recommend!
I was looking for a place to eat near the VA hospital while a family member was being treated. This place is right outside the VA Hospital so it is very convenient. They serve a mixture of Mexican, American, and Mediterranean/middle eastern delicious food at a great price! The staff is also very friendly!
Great food. Service was prompt. People inside the establishment made it clear they were enjoying their meals. Ordered falafel sandwich, huge portion, very tasty. Humus and falafel were great, felt very full but not uncomfortable. Partner ordered mushroom Swiss burger and fries: "delicious". Will be back, excited to try other stuff on the menu. Very pleasantly surprised.
So we almost passed this place because parking is a bit tough. I'm so glad we didn't. The food was awesome. I had the fully loaded cheeseburger and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The patties were cooked perfectly and the fried onions and jalapenos added a fantastic crunch. I wasn't expecting much from the fries because they looked like your standard Ore-rida crinkle cut, but the seasoning they put on them really made them stand out. If you happen to be in the area and need a bite to eat, this is your place.
YUM!!! This place is so good! We came here after a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! We parked in the little parking lot in the back and got the food to-go but I wouldn't mind trying to dine-in next time! I got the beef shawarma plate, which looked a little small to me at first but did end up filling me up. The white garlic sauce was TO DIE FOR!! It is absolutely delicious and goes so well with the meat! I wish they gave even more as I love my rice to be super saturated with sauce haha. The loaded double cheeseburger was my favorite of the night. It was super delicious and flavorful. I wanted to get the curly fries too but they were out. However, the crinkle cut fries were honestly really good and complemented the burger well! The hummus is the only one I wouldn't get again. Not sure why it wasn't super flavorful to us and was a little bitter. Also the naan was more like a tortilla so I didn't enjoy this appetizer. Overall, we had a great experience with the food here and cannot wait to go back to try other things on the menu! 10/10 would recommend!!
The loaded double cheeseburger is one of the best burgers in the city in my opinion! I have never dined in, always pickup. They have always been consistent with timeliness and friendly. The parking and indoor seating space seems small, but it gets the job done. I love that every time I go in, there are families dining together also.
What a great recommendation from a friend when I had visited Houston. What a nice hole in the wall place that serves delicious Mediterranean food. Come early cuz it can definitely packed and crowded very soon if you plan to dine in. Otherwise, great option for pick up. Since it was my first time in Houston, I just went big and had the kabob platter. Oh boy, it was loaded and absolutely delicious. Love the charred veggies, beef, Kafta, and chicken. The hummus and pita were also delicious. Overall, I had a great time eating the food here. Fresh, hot, well-seasoned, and very flavorful. Would definitely recommend this place to all.
Halal friendly comfort food has never seen so many forms, but M&M Grill has all about it for the past decade plus, becoming one of the highest rated bizes in the process. Folks living and working in the Med Center can choose an array of their Arab-Mexican-American offers, be it kebabs over rice, a greasy cheeseburger, or even chimichangas doused in gravy. The place is nondescript as they came. Signage is not prominent or even obvious to folks driving by. It's easy to miss the place without GPS and the so-called parking lot can get incredibly tight. M&M is situated next to an Arabic grocery store called Almeda Mediterranean. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was all under the same owner. During lunch on most weekdays, this place is packed. The seating is like their parking, which is somewhat limited. There is a narrow dining room full of small tables, with a so-so bathroom and local art lining up the walls. There is usually a very steady flow of takeout orders and even third party delivery coming in and out of the joint. It should be noted: this is not destination food. This is food coma worthy fare with a pseudo hangover cure. The ratings might prompt some folks into comparing their dishes to other specialty restaurants, but this is not the intention. The items don't stand a chance on their own but it is novelty to be able to order a double cheeseburger, kafta kebab, curly fries and chicken shawarma all at the same spot. The food comes out fairly quickly, in large part due to the service. They're also quite good about taking orders over the phone. For anyone planning to dine in, I would recommend ordering several items and having a big appetite and more importantly, an open mind.
